In a Zen Garden

I am so inspired by Nature in my designs and in my life. I am also inspired by beauty, zen, and the beauty of traditional Japanese culture.

Last year I found a little article about In a Zen Garden book by Judith Glover in a magazine and it was kept in my agenda until I found the right moment to purchase this beautiful book.

I just arrived to my door and as I was opening I felt so blessed. It is full of beautiful illustrations made by Judith Glover as this was her first book. A delicacy for designers really.

Also, I have my own little zen garden at home, as one of my sisters gave it to me as a present when I move to UK :-)

With this, I remember my love for ikebana and the meaning behind it. "Kebana" means "bring cut flowers into life again" and to do it, the artist needs to observe the natural development of the vegetation itself.

In Ikebana, the flowers, leaves and branches need to be in complete harmony with the container where it will be set the floral arrangement.

Here, are some samples of my Ikebana arrangement, a beautiful expression of my art.

Fancy a Cuppa connect?

This morning I made some very interesting connections in the "cuppa connect" > thebestofhitchin networking, I recently joined which is so great because it is informal and very lively. Networking is a great tool and investment for your company if you want to build your business and lead to new projects.
thebestofhitchin, the Victoria pub and a great variety of Crumbly Wumbly cakes team up to run "Cuppa connect" every two months, an informal networking event for local business and organizations.

The event starts up any time from 9:30am and you stay as much as you wish. It costs only £ 3 for "cuppa" of coffee, tea and delicious cakes plus the connections you made :-) You never know... I believe is worth to try and enjoy the power of connections face-to-face.

Don´t forget your business cards and keep on networking!

Books and Doors

Last few days I have been organizing my books in our studio and also purchasing some others in Amazon from our wish list. Since I am part of The Little White Book and linked to so many talented women around the world, my passion in sharing things have also increased so I created new boards for our Pinterest page.

One is about of

some I have them already, some I would like to welcome. the best way for me to keep all the records is visually and Pinterest for that it is amazing, not only with images but with the links to the places are from.

Another is about
Doors I Like
I always found a fascination for doors and wherever I travel, I always take photographs of these beauties... Is a portal of connections between two world (outside and inside)... and some of them, are really precious works of art. even if it is a simple door alone. However, as I am attracted by colour, shapes and textures...there is, most of the times, an element that captures my attention to detail.

Happy Pinning!!
