My natural instinct is to celebrate. I like to share with people and come together in a joyous life.

I like to celebrate any success that comes to me life. I prefer to do it in company, sharing the moment, however, if I am alone, I normally cook myself a delicious food which make me feel re-energetic and full of good vibes again. I also like to share with my family and friends, making them part of this "special occasion", no matter if it is big or small success, or if they are near or far away. My true nature is share moments with people.

Celebrations are very important part of my life. I came from a big family and I always remember with joy all the gathering together with the family. Those "little precious moments" are a real treasure for my soul. Also I lived in different countries, with great people from different cultures and I learn a lot. I had good memories of friends coming together to celebrate a moment in life around a table with awesome food, laughs and happiness.

I had some favorite celebratory experiences. One it was my mum 60´s birthday fete. She was very pretty and charming and the place was full of colours, delicious food and friends and family joining together to celebrate her big day. I remember, me and my partner cooking an "English breakfast" with the help of my cousin Yolanda, in the morning, for all the guests. Was very special! The celebration went all day long, with music, laughs and lots of bliss.

Another real and simple celebration was last Sunday when my partner and I harvest our first bunch of own grown potatoes and cooking them simply. Eating them was just a very merry moment!

Some days if I am in a "grey mood" I try to ask myself what is holding myself in that position and if there is no real reason, I try to let that feeling go, listening nice music, drawing, going for a walk or having a chat with my mum or a friend.

My work is also a celebration of myself, sometimes hard others smooth, I try to think positively and keep on going, thinking big. I like to share every success and share my knowledge and achievements with people. We always learn something and if is in a celebration, ever better.

One of my recent mentors, told me once:
"Today is another day in Paradise!" and I add: "let´s do the best of it!"

Celebrations don´t need to be big ceremonies, the small ones are real treasures too :-)

My personal declaration around celebration could be:
"no matter what you are, what you have, where you are... get yourself into a group of people and celebrate little or big occasions because these will bring you what you really need at that moment. And if you are alone, do something for yourself that really pleases you!"

Keep on celebrating and sharing!!

Hi all,

I have fantastic news but forgive me because I have been a bit flattered out these past months as we are expecting our first child and it has been so far all an adventure! Now feeling much better and still four month and a half to go ;-)

The second great news is that I MADE IT In the TOP 3 in the Kleenex competition and my IKAT FLORAL won along with another couple of beautiful ones. I was so chuffed when a friend told me I could not believe it... But hey! if you work hard at the end, at some point, you get your reward!

I am also sharing here my last trend board I created today. I hope it will serve you of any kind of inspiration.

And also, I am attaching the link to the last ISSUE OF MOYO MAGAZINE (4).

EFUTO *** Spring

SPRING
Today is a celebration with myself, a day that makes a difference...and why is so that special?

Today is 1st of March and we have 20 days before SPRING will arrive for good.

So today I decided to join a local Art studio and start drawing for good again because since I left behind my Art studio in Madrid (which I fondly miss) I didn´t do much and it is my passion, what I really love to do. Those couple of hours are the time with myself and my media. The Stevenage Art Centre organize a couple of exhibitions a year where people can sell what they have exhibited, which also will do so good to me.

Last Wednesday I had a coffee with my friend Gwyneth and I think unconsciously, she ignited in me the action to join the Art Studio again as we talked  about art, my designs and to go together to the Letchworth ARTS centre next week so perhaps I can also exhibit there in the future too. I really appreciate people like her in my life.

Today I started a drawing that will become a one of the patterns I am working at the moment for SS14 and also part of a project I am doing with my Print & Pattern group. It is called EFUTO *** Spring and I need to decorate a plain envelope and send it by mail to a person on the list that have been selected randomly.

I will be sending my Efuto to Ludmila Adams and receiving another one from Lisa Rivas :-)

This great project was started by Gill Eggleston last Christmas when I joined the Print & Pattern group and people around the world they were sending beautiful Efutos. If by now you are curious to know what an EFUTO is, you can read more here.

Happy weekend everyone!!!

Happy Chinese year of the Snake!

amara - Design Trend

2013 is the year of the Snake, the sixth sign of the Chinese zodiac. It is said that people who were born in the year of the snake are reputed to be thoughtful and wise and to approach problems rationally and logically.

Snakes are bang on trend for spring — with the Chinese Year of the Snake starting on February 10.

It is said in ancient Chinese wisdom that ‘a Snake in the house is a good omen’, and interior trends are taking this literally.

Here I collected some images that will serve for some inspiration in our designs and interiors.

Enjoy and keep on designing!

Fancy a Cuppa connect?

This morning I made some very interesting connections in the "cuppa connect" > thebestofhitchin networking, I recently joined which is so great because it is informal and very lively. Networking is a great tool and investment for your company if you want to build your business and lead to new projects.

thebestofhitchin, the Victoria pub and a great variety of Crumbly Wumbly cakes team up to run "Cuppa connect" every two months, an informal networking event for local business and organizations.

The event starts up any time from 9:30am and you stay as much as you wish. It costs only £ 3 for "cuppa" of coffee, tea and delicious cakes plus the connections you made :-) You never know... I believe is worth to try and enjoy the power of connections face-to-face.

Don´t forget your business cards and keep on networking!
